About
I am Andreas Ahoniemi and I lead the digital work at Gullström & Co in Karlstad, Sweden.

What the days look like
As Head of Digital I am responsible for the agency’s digital production: websites, e-commerce, platforms, and for a few years now an increasing amount of AI. That means sitting in strategy conversations with clients and also building what gets delivered.
The combination is deliberate. Advising on AI without having built anything tends to produce a presentation nobody can act on. Building without understanding the business produces a solution to the wrong problem.
How I ended up in AI
The route went through web development and e-commerce. For years the work was about making sites load faster, convert better and stay maintainable by someone other than whoever built them.
When language models became good enough for production, the same questions turned out to apply: can it be measured, can it be debugged, and can it be handed over? Most failed AI projects fail not because the model is weak, but because none of those questions were asked.
How I work
Small first. One bounded problem, a working version on real data, and a clear verdict on whether it carries. Large AI strategies with nothing in production have rarely led anywhere.
No lock-in. Code, accounts and documentation sit with the client. If I have done my job you can continue without me, and choose not to.
